Young Woman Shot Dead in Jhansi Just Months Before Wedding

Jhansi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : In a shocking incident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a 19-year-old woman was shot dead in broad daylight, just two months before her wedding. The tragedy occurred in the ITI area of the Sipri Bazaar police station jurisdiction, sending shockwaves through the community.

The victim, identified as Chanchal, was reportedly home alone at the time of the attack. Her grandmother had stepped out for an errand. When she returned around 3:30 PM and knocked on the door, there was no response. Concerned, neighbors helped her look inside, where they found Chanchal lying in a pool of blood in the courtyard, with a gunshot wound to her temple.

Senior police officials, including SSP Vikas Kumar, along with forensic and SWAT teams, quickly arrived on the scene to begin their investigation. The police have since sent the body for autopsy and are actively searching for the suspect.

Initial investigations suggest that the case may be linked to unrequited love. Reports indicate that the alleged assailant had been persistently trying to contact Chanchal over the past few months and had been harassing her. Authorities suspect that he may have scaled the wall to enter her home and carried out the attack before fleeing the scene.

Meanwhile, a video of the accused, identified as Kamal, has gone viral on social media. In the footage, he appears to express fears for his life and blames Chanchal’s family for his situation, raising further questions about the motive behind the crime.

Chanchal’s family was in the midst of wedding preparations, which has now left them in deep shock following this horrific incident. The police have formed teams to apprehend the suspect and are determined to uncover the truth behind this tragic event.
