Yogi Adityanath Congratulates Suvendu Adhikari at West Bengals Swearing-In Ceremony

Lucknow, May 9: In a grand swearing-in ceremony held in Kolkata on Saturday, West Bengal’s new government took office in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also in attendance. He congratulated Suvendu Adhikari, who took the oath as Chief Minister, and wished him a successful tenure. CM Yogi adorned Adhikari with a saffron shawl on stage.

Yogi Adityanath also extended his congratulations to ministers Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Khudiram Tudu, and Nishith Pramanik, who were sworn in as ministers. After the ceremony, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, central ministers, and fellow Chief Ministers present on stage.

On the social media platform X, CM Yogi posted heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari on his swearing-in as West Bengal’s Chief Minister. He expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful guidance and Adhikari’s energetic leadership, the vision of ‘Sonar Bangla’ would be realized. Yogi prayed that Adhikari’s tenure would fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bengal and restore democratic values.

He also congratulated other ministers who took the oath in Bengal, stating, “Heartfelt congratulations to all the honorable members sworn in as ministers today in West Bengal! I am confident that you will prioritize public service and restore the glory of ‘Sonar Bangla.’ May your tenure be successful and welfare-oriented, with the blessings of Maa Kali. Vande Mataram!”

Notably, during the election campaign, Suvendu Adhikari had welcomed Yogi Adityanath to Bengal by adorning him with a saffron shawl and even touched his feet.
