Mumbai, June 21: On International Yoga Day, Ashish Kumar Chauhan, CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), emphasized the importance of yoga in today’s modern lifestyle. He stated that yoga aids in addressing both physical and mental health issues.
In an interview with a news agency, Chauhan highlighted that due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, the United Nations declared June 21 as World Yoga Day in 2015. He noted the global celebration of yoga, which teaches that one can maintain fitness without external equipment.
Chauhan pointed out the increased screen time in today’s world, leading to various health problems, where yoga can be a significant help. He encouraged the youth to practice yoga, explaining that while individuals may not face health issues until their late twenties or early thirties, early attention to yoga can help prevent many physical and mental challenges.
