West Bengals Dual-Engine Government Aims for Economic Transformation, Says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari

Kolkata, August 27: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari stated on Thursday that the primary goal of the newly established dual-engine government is to ensure public welfare through economic transformation in the state.

He emphasized his readiness to attract significant investments and facilitate ease of doing business in West Bengal to achieve this objective.

While inaugurating an IT plant of a national business group in New Town, a suburb of Kolkata, the Chief Minister remarked, “The new dual-engine government is working with the aim of ensuring public welfare. To achieve this economic transformation, I am eager to collaborate with investors and entrepreneurs to meet their needs for large investments in the state.”

Adhikari highlighted that his aim is not only to prevent the brain drain from the state but also to ensure the return of talented individuals currently living abroad for their livelihoods. This new initiative is expected to create employment for 5,800 people.

He stated, “The day will soon come when the highly skilled and talented youth of West Bengal, who are currently in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and even abroad, will start returning to the state. Please come back. A dual-engine government has been established here.”

The Chief Minister assured that the dual-engine government is committed to job creation in the state. He mentioned that the government would promote large investments while also supporting small industrial enterprises. More investments are anticipated in the state in the coming days.

He added, “There is no shortage of skilled and technical talent in the state. The previous government failed to honor qualified youth, but the situation has changed now. Young people will no longer have to leave the state. The dual-engine government is committed to the reconstruction of Bengal. I am hopeful that more investments will flow into West Bengal. Our goal is to rebuild West Bengal.”
