West Bengal Enters New Era of Development and Governance: Nitin Naveen

New Delhi, May 9: A historic shift has occurred in West Bengal’s political landscape. For the first time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to take power following the results of the 2026 Assembly elections.

The BJP has secured a commanding majority with 207 seats, effectively ending the 15-year rule of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The party is poised to form the government in West Bengal this Saturday. This significant victory has sparked immense enthusiasm among party leaders and supporters.

In the meantime, BJP National President Nitin Naveen took to social media platform ‘X’ to describe this moment as a “new dawn of trust.” He stated that the first rays of the rising sun in West Bengal now bring a message of new hope and confidence.

Naveen emphasized that the people of West Bengal can now trust in development, security, respect for women, job opportunities for youth, and the establishment of good governance in the state.

He also noted that the public has expressed faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, which has paved the way for the new government to take oath in West Bengal. Nitin Naveen concluded his post with the phrase “Vande Mataram.”

The BJP legislative party has elected Suvendu Adhikari as its leader, making him the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal. Notably, he defeated TMC leader Mamata Banerjee in her stronghold of Bhawanipur by over 15,000 votes, sending a strong political message.

This marks the first time since the state’s formation that the BJP will hold power in Bengal. With this historic victory, the BJP has reaffirmed its commitment to the vision of ‘Sonar Bangla.’
