Weapons Seized from Madrasah in Motihari, Police Uncover Alleged Conspiracy

Motihari, April 5: Police in Bihar’s East Champaran district have made a significant discovery at a madrasah in Chakia, seizing a firearm on Sunday. The incident has sparked widespread concern in the area, leading to various discussions among locals.

According to East Champaran Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat, the police conducted a raid based on confidential information, resulting in the recovery of a pistol from the madrasah. Authorities believe that there was a plan in place for a major incident to occur.

The SP received a tip-off, prompting him to instruct a police team, led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and the local station chief, to carry out the raid immediately. The team successfully confiscated the pistol during the operation. Notably, this is the same madrasah from which PFI member Usman, also known as Sultan or Yakub, was arrested by Chakia police and the STF. This case pertains to the Govindra Madrasah in the Chakia police jurisdiction.

A police official stated that the madrasah has been sealed off. Authorities have detained three individuals for questioning. The police have conducted searches at the madrasah and are also raiding several other suspicious locations. They are investigating the reasons behind the possession of the weapon. To maintain security in the area, additional police forces have been deployed. The police assured that every aspect of the case is being thoroughly investigated, and a complete disclosure will be made soon.
