Mumbai, February 27: Actor Vishal Mohan is currently in the spotlight for his upcoming film, “Yadav Ji Ki Love Story.” In a recent exclusive interview, he shared his perspective on fame, stating that he is not in pursuit of instant recognition or shortcuts. Instead, his goal is to consistently present something new and unique to his audience.
Vishal expressed, “I want to work as an actor for a long time. Instant stardom is not my aim. I prefer to progress steadily and bring something fresh to each project.”
Originally from Indore, Vishal initially aspired to become a director. However, he has shifted his focus to enhancing his acting skills. He emphasized the importance of having experience behind the camera, as it enriches one’s understanding of lighting, framing, scripting, and performance. This knowledge deepens one’s craft.
When discussing his favorite roles, he mentioned, “I enjoy playing rough, intense characters that are far removed from glamorous roles, like those in ‘Paan Singh Tomar.’ I want to take on characters that challenge me both physically and emotionally, pushing me out of my comfort zone and allowing me to fully immerse myself in the role.”
Vishal will soon be seen in the sequel to Rani Mukerji’s famous 1998 film, “Mehndi.” When asked if he feels any pressure regarding this sequel, he replied that he does not succumb to pressure. He noted, “Director Hamid Ali offered me the script after seeing my previous work. That trust motivated me, making me feel responsible to carry this forward.”
Looking ahead, Vishal revealed that he is venturing into South cinema. His upcoming projects include a South Indian film where he will play a villain. He stated that after the release of “Yadav Ji Ki Love Story,” audiences will see him in various projects, including a South Indian debut featuring a negative role.
