Mumbai, February 10: Renowned singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani frequently shares his thoughts on social media. On Monday, he issued a significant warning to those in the music industry who rely on “recommendations” and “connections” to build their careers.
Vishal took to Instagram to share a note aimed at aspiring singers. He advised them not to seek the help of ministers or influential personalities to meet him.
In his note, he stated, “A piece of advice for new singers: Please do not attempt to have me called by any minister, leader, or their secretary. Doing so will completely eliminate any chance of meeting me. I have no respect for those who wish to advance through contracts.”
He referenced a recent incident, saying, “Recently, someone tried to do this with me. I have blocked both the minister and the singer. No matter how talented they are, I have no interest in working with them. Sorry.”
Vishal continued, “Trust in your talent, be ready to work hard, and be patient. If you are genuinely good, your time will come. Do not adopt the ‘recommendation’ approach. It is an outdated and boring mindset. Most importantly, it shows that you do not trust your own talent.”
