Beijing, February 16: The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from Canada and the United Kingdom. This decision was confirmed in response to a journalist’s inquiry regarding the progress of this policy since it was initially announced during the visits of leaders from both countries to China.
Starting February 17, 2026, citizens of Canada and the UK will be able to enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days. This policy aims to facilitate mutual exchanges between China and these countries, allowing visitors to engage in business, tourism, and visit family and friends. The visa-free arrangement will remain in effect until December 31, 2026.
