Noida, March 5: During Holi celebrations in Noida and Greater Noida West, several videos showcasing violence and chaos have gone viral on social media. Two videos, in particular, have garnered significant attention. The first is reportedly from the Civitech Stadia Society in Sector 79, Noida, while the second originates from the Radha Sky Garden Society in Greater Noida West.
In both incidents, disputes escalated into physical altercations while people were playing Holi. The first video, lasting approximately one minute and twenty seconds, shows a group of 12 to 14 individuals violently attacking one person. The footage also captures some individuals using abusive language, with a woman present at the scene.
According to reports, a disagreement arose between two factions within the society during the festivities. The situation quickly deteriorated, leading to a group of individuals surrounding and assaulting one person. Other attendees intervened to calm the situation, allowing Holi celebrations to resume afterward.
The second incident occurred at the Radha Sky Garden Society, where a dispute broke out between security guards and residents on Holi day. The one-minute video depicts a fierce brawl between both parties, with allegations that security guards used sticks to beat the residents.
Following the circulation of the incident’s video on social media, police took action. According to authorities, some individuals were celebrating Holi with their families in the society premises when security guards attempted to intervene, sparking a heated argument that escalated into violence.
The Bisrakh police swiftly arrested a total of 10 individuals from both sides involved in the incidents, initiating legal proceedings against them. The arrested suspects include Anand, Guddu Kumar Malda, Prakash Rai, Kishan, Deepak, Shiv Kumar Shukla, Chhabinath, Madan Lal, Rakesh, and Anurag Kumar. Police stated that an investigation is underway, and further actions will be taken based on the viral videos.
