Vicky Kaushal was spotted at the Mukerji familys Durga Puja in Mumbai, celebrating the festivals 80th anniversary with Tanisha Mukerji.

Mumbai, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : The Mukerji family hosted their annual Durga Puja celebration at the renowned North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai. Actress Tanisha Mukerji organized the event, which attracted numerous celebrities from the film industry. Among the attendees was actor Vicky Kaushal, who added to the festive spirit.

On Tuesday, Tanisha shared a photo on Instagram featuring herself and Vicky in front of the beautifully adorned Durga Puja pandal. Both were seen smiling, their foreheads adorned with traditional tika, a symbol of the festival. Vicky’s presence at the pandal was particularly significant as this year marks the 80th anniversary of the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja.

In addition to the selfie with Vicky, Tanisha also posted a video of singer Shreya Ghoshal performing at the event. She praised Ghoshal’s voice, stating, “You made me cry. You are not just a great voice but a feeling.”

During the festivities, Tanisha was also seen participating in the traditional Dhunuchi dance, a performance typically done with incense burners.

On the first day of the puja, Tanisha showcased her style as she brought her mother, veteran actress Tanuja, and sister Kajol to the pandal. She was seen supporting her mother as they made their way through the celebration. The Mukerji family has a long-standing connection with the North Bombay Durga Puja, one of the oldest and grandest celebrations in Mumbai, founded in 1948 by Tanisha’s grandfather, Padma Shri Shashadhar Mukerji, and his wife, Satirani Mukerji.

After Shashadhar Mukerji’s passing, the responsibility for the Durga Puja was taken on by Deb Mukerji, who continued the family tradition until his death. Today, Tanisha, along with her cousin Ayan Mukerji, continues to uphold this cherished legacy.
