Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan Visits Tirumala Temple, Prays for National Welfare

Tirupati, April 28: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala near Tirupati on Tuesday. He offered prayers and sought blessings for the welfare of the nation.

Andhra Pradesh’s Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer Mudda Ravi Chandra, and other officials warmly welcomed him.

The temple priests honored him with traditional rituals, presenting him with ‘Istikafal.’ Following this, the Vice President paid his respects at the flagpole and performed worship.

He also visited the temples of Devi Vakulamata, Lord Vimana Venkateswara, the Acharyas’ temple (Bhashyakara Sannidhi), and Lord Yoga Narasimha Swamy.

Later, Vedic scholars at Ranganayakula Mandapam presented him with ‘Veda Ashirvachanam.’ On this occasion, the TTD Chairman and Executive Officer gifted the Vice President an image of the deity along with sacred offerings.

The Vice President also worshipped at the Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple located in front of the main temple.

TTD’s Additional Executive Officer Venkayya Chaudhary and board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy were present to assist with the welcome and visitation arrangements.

According to a post on the Vice President’s official ‘X’ account, he prayed for peace, prosperity, and the welfare of all citizens in the country.

Earlier on Monday, the Vice President addressed the centenary celebrations at Andhra University in Visakhapatnam before arriving in Tirupati.

This marks Radhakrishnan’s second visit to Tirumala since taking office. He previously participated in cultural and spiritual events in Vijayawada and Tirumala in September 2025.
