Mumbai, May 14: Popular television couple Vatsal Sheth and Ishita Dutta are quite active on social media, frequently sharing glimpses of their time together. Recently, they expressed gratitude to the government for making food and beverages more affordable at the airport.
Ishita posted a video on Instagram featuring the couple at Mumbai Airport. In the video, they visit the “Udaan Yatri Cafe,” showcasing a price chart displaying the costs of items like tea, coffee, and snacks.
In the video, Vatsal is seen enjoying a coffee while Ishita buys two bottles of water for just 20 rupees. The actor praises the initiative, stating, “The government has done a fantastic job because many people complained that basic necessities at the airport were very expensive. It’s truly remarkable to find such low prices.”
Ishita captioned the video, “Did you know? Udaan Yatri Cafe.”
The “Udaan Yatri Cafe” is a unique initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India, aimed at providing quality and hygienic food at very low prices in airports. Launched at 11 major airports across the country by March 2026, snacks are available starting from just 10-20 rupees.
The first cafe was inaugurated in December 2024 at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. It has since been established in cities like Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Itanagar, Hyderabad, and Lucknow (Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport).
This initiative addresses complaints about exorbitant food prices at airports and aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers.
