Mumbai, May 5: Actor Varun Badola has expressed gratitude for the early television shows that significantly shaped his career. He highlighted popular series such as “Koshish – Ek Asha,” “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani,” and “Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand” as pivotal in establishing his identity in the industry.
In a recent interview, Badola shared that these roles will always hold a special place in his heart. He emphasized the importance of moving forward and evolving as an actor rather than dwelling on past achievements.
Reflecting on his journey, Varun stated, “You can never completely separate yourself from your characters, but at some point, you must realize that you have grown. Growing up is a beautiful feeling; why wouldn’t you want that?”
He further remarked, “The characters that introduced me to this world, like those in ‘Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand’ and ‘Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani,’ were significant shows. I worked hard to portray those characters authentically. The truth is, they brought me immense popularity. But that was 20-22 years ago. While I should take pride in my work, I cannot afford to remain stuck in the past.”
Varun gained widespread recognition through his role in “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani,” which premiered in 2002, featuring alongside actress Nikki Aneja Walia. He also received acclaim for his performance in “Koshish – Ek Asha,” where he starred opposite Sandhya Mridul.
In “Desh Mein Nikla Hoga Chand,” he shared the screen with Sangeeta Ghosh. His character “Dev” became immensely popular in the early 2000s television landscape.
These three shows established him as one of the most reliable actors in the television industry. Varun is married to Rajeshwari and was last seen in the fourth season of the OTT series “Andekhi.” He also co-wrote the first season of the show, which features Harsh Chhaya, Varun Badola, Gautam Rode, and Surya Sharma in lead roles.
