Vaibhav Suryaanshi Responds to Critics with Stellar Performance Against Hinge

Jaipur, April 27: Rajasthan Royals (RR) star player Vaibhav Suryaanshi expressed his desire to silence critics with his bat. He hit four sixes against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler Praful Hinge, who had dismissed him in their previous IPL 2026 match.

In a post-match conversation with RR manager Romi Bhinder, Suryaanshi revealed that the criticism he faced after getting out early in the match on April 13 motivated him. In a video shared on Rajasthan Royals’ social media account ‘X’, he stated, “I came in with a clear strategy against Praful Hinge. After getting out in the last match, I went back and checked my phone. I saw a lot of things. I usually don’t pay attention to such comments, but when someone says something personal, it affects me a bit. I just wanted to respond with my bat.”

When asked about his strategy during the innings, the young player mentioned that he relied on his preparation and played freely. He added, “You know how important this was for me. I was just trying to do what I practiced. I played freely from the very first ball, and I planned to do the same today.”

Suryaanshi also addressed concerns about his fitness amid worries regarding a hamstring issue during the match. “Everything is fine now. I’m feeling better. I don’t know, my foot got stuck. I already had an issue with my ankle, so my hamstring strained to avoid putting too much pressure on it. However, it’s better now. I will be fine by the next match.”

Against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Vaibhav Suryaanshi showcased explosive batting, completing his century in just 36 balls. He scored a remarkable 103 runs off 37 balls. So far in IPL 2026, he has amassed 357 runs at a strike rate of 234.87 across eight matches.
