Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Warns of Sabotage in Ram Temple Movement
CM Yogi Adityanath cautions against opposition attempts to undermine the Ram Temple movement during a recent event in Lucknow.

Lucknow, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently addressed the Ram Temple movement’s supporters, warning them of potential sabotage from opposition groups. Speaking at a ceremony in Lucknow marking the centenary of Ashok Singhal, a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Adityanath urged members of the Bajrang Dal to remain vigilant. He claimed that those who previously opposed the Ram Temple are now attempting to infiltrate the movement to tarnish its reputation.
During his speech, Adityanath pointed out that individuals who once fired upon Ram devotees now falsely present themselves as supporters. He emphasized that this shift represents a significant ideological victory for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The event featured a documentary highlighting Singhal’s life, struggles, and his contributions to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, which he started in 1982.
Adityanath recalled the long struggle of Hindus for the temple’s restoration, which began after its destruction in 1528, lasting nearly 500 years. He credited Ashok Singhal with uniting various groups, including saints and youth, to work towards this goal. He noted that Singhal’s leadership was pivotal in the establishment of schools in tribal and marginalized communities, and he reminisced about the significant events of the 1990 Ayodhya movement, where Singhal’s resilience was evident despite government opposition.
The Chief Minister accused political parties, including the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, of obstructing the temple’s legal proceedings. He highlighted their reluctance to attend the temple’s foundation-laying ceremony, suggesting they were more focused on electoral gains than the temple’s significance.
Adityanath also reflected on his discussions with Singhal regarding the temple’s construction and the future vision for Ayodhya. He stated that the revitalization of Ayodhya is evident today, with developments like the Ram Path and the international airport named after Maharshi Valmiki.
In his closing remarks, he emphasized that cow protection is not merely a matter of rhetoric but requires action, citing the closure of illegal slaughterhouses since 2017 and the establishment of over 7,700 cow shelters. He called on citizens to engage in cow rearing, reinforcing the importance of the Ram Temple movement in strengthening Hindu identity and promoting social harmony.
The event concluded with tributes to Singhal’s lifelong dedication to the construction of the Ram Temple, marking a significant moment in the ongoing narrative of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
