Lucknow, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : On September 28, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath commemorated the birth anniversary of the revered freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, emphasizing the importance of his legacy for today’s youth. At just 23, Singh sacrificed his life for the nation, and his anniversary serves as a reminder for all to renew their commitment to national duty.
In his message, the Chief Minister reflected on Singh’s dedication to liberating India from colonial rule, urging the youth to draw inspiration from his courage and patriotism. He stressed the need to overcome social evils such as caste discrimination and substance abuse, echoing Singh’s relentless spirit.
Adityanath highlighted Singh’s scholarly pursuits, noting his proficiency in multiple languages, including Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and English. He encouraged young people to transform knowledge into power, maintain a thirst for learning, and align their aspirations with action.
The Chief Minister announced that the government is committed to supporting youth education, competitive exam preparation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Through the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, students can access free coaching for competitive exams. The Chief Minister’s Young Entrepreneurs Development Campaign aims to empower youths to establish their own businesses and create jobs. Additionally, a startup policy is in place to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
He reiterated that when youth connect knowledge with skills, and resolve with action, they can achieve their dreams while contributing to the state’s development. Adityanath urged residents to make the most of the educational resources available in Uttar Pradesh, including modern libraries and digital facilities being established in honor of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Chief Minister encouraged young people to embrace books as friends, ask questions, explore new ideas, and keep their curiosity alive. He emphasized that a single book can ignite a new idea in a youth’s life, which can, in turn, inspire societal transformation. He called for collective efforts in building a knowledgeable, cultured, and empowered Uttar Pradesh.
