Thane, Mar 6 : Padma Vibushan Indian Classical Sarod player, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, was on Sunday conferred the Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Lifetime Achievement Award, at a function here. He received the coveted award at the hands of Chaurasia, comprising a citation, shawl and cash award of Rs one lakh. Speaking on the occasion, Pandit Chaurasia said that he was previliged to give this award to Amjadbai. “Classical music is one thing where one has to be dedicated to the guru and the almighty. The deciple should not ask as to what will happen to him after five years as no one knows as to what will happen. The almighty shows the path to the one who is dedicated to the classical music,” Amjad Ali Khan said. On this occasion, a flue symphony by 75 artistes, led by Vivek Sonar of the Gurukul Pratishtan, titled 13th Bansuri Utsav 2022 was presented. XR SS 2057
