Chitrakoot, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a one-day visit to flood-affected Chitrakoot on Sunday. During his trip, he conducted aerial and ground inspections of the impacted areas.
CM Adityanath met with hundreds of families affected by the flooding of the Mandakini River. He listened to their concerns and distributed ration kits and relief materials.
As immediate assistance, he handed over checks totaling ₹1.2 lakh to three victims who lost their homes in the disaster. Additionally, he provided land allotment certificates to some beneficiaries.
The administration is currently surveying the area and plans to extend similar help to more affected individuals soon.
While distributing relief materials, CM Adityanath assured residents that the Uttar Pradesh government stands firmly with flood victims during this crisis. He emphasized that no affected individual should feel anxious, as the government is committed to providing assistance to all without discrimination.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that there is no negligence in the relief efforts at any level. He visited the site to understand the difficulties faced by the flood-affected and to assess the current status of relief operations.
Some flood victims who received help expressed gratitude for the timely assistance from the administration. Rani and Manju, residents of Sitapur Malakana, said their entire home was submerged, and all their belongings were ruined. They appreciated receiving ration kits from the Chief Minister, who also assured them that new homes would be built for them.
Another victim, Gyan Singh, noted that his mud house had collapsed in the flood. He received a ration kit and was reassured that a new house would be constructed for him.
After touring the affected areas, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with local administration officials, directing them to expedite efforts to restore normalcy and accelerate rehabilitation work.
