UP: 10 students injured in gas cylinder explosion

Bulandshahr, March 7 : Ten students were injured when a gas cylinder caught fire and exploded in a hostel of the Government Polytechnic College in Dibai town in the district on Monday. District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh said that a small cylinder exploded while the students were preparing meals around 9 am. “10 students got injured from the debris of the walls and the ceiling which were damaged in the explosion,” he said. The DM and Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh visited the spot. “Injured students have been admitted to the government hospital in Aligarh and the Chief Medical Officer has been directed to ensure proper treatment,” the DM said.
