
Udaipur, February 11: Dr. Pratap Singh, the Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Agricultural and Technology University, recently toured the horticulture farm of the Department of Horticulture at Rajasthan Agricultural College. During the visit, he was accompanied by Dr. Manoj Mahla, the Dean of Rajasthan Agricultural College, Dr. K.D. Ameta, Head of the Horticulture Department, Dr. L.N. Mahawar, and Dr. Virendra Singh, the farm in-charge.
The Chancellor inspected the nursery and emphasized the importance of producing high-quality fruit plants and developing disease-resistant varieties. He also instructed the team to increase the production of both fruit-bearing and ornamental plants.
Furthermore, Dr. Singh reviewed the All India Coordinated Flower Project, the Tuber Crop Project, and the Fruit Project, providing relevant guidance to the respective coordinators. During the visit, he suggested strategies for increasing income through the nursery and enhancing crop density in the sapodilla orchard using international practices.
