Kyiv, March 24 : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called upon the countries around the world toi hold protests against Russia to mark one month of his country’s invasion by its giant neighbour, Evening Standard reported on Thursday. In his latest nightly video, Zelensky made a plea for people all over the world to take to the streets on Thursday and show solidarity with Ukraine. Zelensky said that Russia was not just waging a war against Ukraine but against the freedom of people everywhere and threatening peace in the region which could have severe repercussions elsewhere. Since the war began on February 24, Zelensky has been posting his nightly video messages on various social media platforms, showing the suffering of his people, the destruction of his country at the hands of the Russian forces, and to win support against the invasion. Zelenskyy’s latest appeal comes as Boris Johnson is meeting his fellow NATO leaders in Brussels for an emergency summit to discuss the latest situation in Ukraine. ACL1319
