Two judges refuses to hear Deshmukh plea

Mumbai, April 6 : Two judges of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday refused to hear a plea moved by former Maharashta Home Minister Anil Deshmukh challenging a CBI application for his remand in an alleged corruption case. Justice P D Naik has recused himself from hearing the plea, shortly after Justice Revati Dere had recused herself. It will be placed before a bench headed by the Chief Justice who will assign a bench to hear it. ۔ The CBI court had granted permission to the CBI to arrest Deshmukh in an extortion case as alleged against him by former Mumbai Commissioner Parambir Singh. Following the court permission, the CBI on Wednesday arrested Deshmukh from the Arthur Road Jail where he is in custody for money laundering. AAA MR
