Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Over Hormuz Strait Threats

Washington, March 10: President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran regarding the Hormuz Strait. He stated that any attempt to obstruct this vital oil passage would be met with a strong response from the United States.

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump declared, “If Iran does anything that disrupts the flow of oil in the Hormuz Strait, the U.S. will retaliate with an attack twenty times stronger than any previous assaults.”

He also threatened to destroy Iranian infrastructure, adding, “We will eliminate easily targetable sites, making it nearly impossible for Iran to function as a nation. However, I hope and pray that it does not come to that!”

Earlier, Trump spoke to reporters at Trump National Doral in Miami, emphasizing that the U.S. would not allow Iran to jeopardize one of the world’s most critical energy corridors.

He remarked, “As we continue Operation Epic Fury, we are also focused on maintaining the flow of energy and oil worldwide. I will not allow any terrorist government to hold the world hostage or disrupt global oil supplies.”

Trump assured that the Hormuz Strait would remain open under U.S. security, stating, “Our Navy has a significant presence there.”

He mentioned that the U.S. Navy is prepared to secure the waterway if necessary, equipped with advanced mine-clearing technology. “We have the best equipment to detect mines,” he noted.

Additionally, Trump warned that any Iranian actions in the Strait would have far-reaching consequences. He stated, “If they do anything, the cost will be very high.”

The U.S. is ready to directly support commercial shipping operations, with Trump adding, “In the meantime, during this brief disruption, the U.S. is providing political risk insurance to any tankers operating in the Gulf region.”

He further explained that if the threat escalates, U.S. and allied forces could escort vessels through the narrow waterway. Trump argued that keeping the Strait open is more crucial for Asia and other energy-importing regions than for the U.S. itself. “This doesn’t significantly affect us. We have plenty of oil and gas—far more than we need,” he said.

However, he acknowledged that many other countries, especially China, heavily rely on this route. “This is a gift from the U.S. to China and all the nations that depend on the Hormuz Strait. We are genuinely helping China and others, as they receive much of their energy through this route.”

Trump also mentioned that the government is considering easing some restrictions related to oil markets temporarily to prevent price surges. He highlighted the Hormuz Strait as a critical front in the larger conflict with Iran, asserting that Washington will not tolerate threats to commercial shipping. “In recent years, the government and its terrorist agents have attacked hundreds of commercial vessels. We are determined to eliminate this threat once and for all.”

The Hormuz Strait is a narrow passage connecting the Gulf to the Arabian Sea and is considered one of the most crucial oil transport routes globally. A significant portion of crude oil exported from Gulf oil-producing countries passes through this route, making any threat here a major concern for global energy markets.
