
New Delhi, March 16: The nation is remembering General Bipin Rawat, India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, on his birth anniversary. Several prominent leaders have paid their respects and honored his legacy.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari took to social media platform X, stating, “A humble tribute on the birth anniversary of the country’s first Defence Chief, Padma Vibhushan General Bipin Rawat.”
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi also shared a post on X, writing, “Remembering General Bipin Rawat on his birth anniversary. As India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, General Rawat dedicated his life to strengthening national defense and promoting synergy among the armed forces. His visionary leadership, courage, and unwavering loyalty to the nation will continue to inspire generations of soldiers and citizens. A heartfelt tribute to a true patriot and extraordinary leader.”
Pankaj Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State and President of the Uttar Pradesh BJP, expressed, “Respectful homage on the birth anniversary of Padma Vibhushan General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defence Staff of the country. He dedicated every moment of his life to enhancing the nation’s honor and strengthening the armed forces.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “A humble tribute on the birth anniversary of General Bipin Rawat, a brave son of Mother India and the first CDS. His contributions to national security, military strength, and the vision of a self-reliant India will always be remembered.”
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also honored Rawat, stating, “On the birth anniversary of Padma Vibhushan General Bipin Rawat, who dedicated his entire life to serving Mother India, I pay my respects. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote, “On the birth anniversary of General Bipin Rawat, India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, I pay my deepest respects. Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also honored General Rawat on his birth anniversary, stating, “Your dedication, courage, and indomitable leadership towards national security will always inspire us. Your contributions to the nation will forever be remembered.”
Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi paid tribute to Rawat, saying, “His unwavering loyalty to national defense, remarkable leadership, and courageous personality are a source of inspiration for every Indian. The nation will always remember his invaluable contributions and sacrifices with pride.”
