New Delhi, May 14: The nation is honoring the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a protector of dharma and a great warrior, on his birth anniversary. Prominent leaders, including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, have paid their respects to Sambhaji Maharaj. Om Birla stated that the sacrifice and glorious life of Sambhaji Maharaj will continue to inspire patriotism and courage for generations to come.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Om Birla expressed, “On the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, I pay my deepest respects. His unparalleled valor and determination in safeguarding Swaraj, culture, and national duty amidst adversity are immortal in Indian history. He never compromised in the face of injustice and invaders, enduring unbearable torture while remaining steadfast to his principles and beliefs. The sacrifice and glorious life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will inspire patriotism and courage for ages.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also remembered the contributions and valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In his post on ‘X’, he remarked, “From a young age, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj embodied the values of patriotism, protection of religion, and Hindavi Swaraj. He liberated numerous strategic territories from Mughal control and defeated the Mughal army in countless battles.”
Amit Shah further added, “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was lifelong committed to preventing forced conversions, kept the flame of his faith, language, and Swaraj alive, even sacrificing his life for it. I pay my respects to the brave Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary.”
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also paid tribute, stating, “Your devout life dedicated to the motherland, faith, and Swarajya is an inspiration for every Indian. I bow repeatedly at the feet of this brave son of Mother India who has made the earth blessed and honored.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, saying, “His inspiring life is an indelible symbol of nationalism, duty, valor, sacrifice, and self-respect.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote, “On the birth anniversary of the unparalleled warrior and protector of dharma, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, I pay my deepest respects. His valor and sacrifice have enriched Indian history, and his life continues to inspire us towards patriotism and self-respect. His great ideals will always guide us.”
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also paid homage to the Maratha hero, stating, “Your sacrifice, valor, and dedication to protecting the motherland, culture, and self-respect will inspire the nation for generations.”
