
Devas, May 17: A tragic road accident in Devas district of Madhya Pradesh resulted in the deaths of at least three laborers and left two others seriously injured. Police officials confirmed the incident.
The accident occurred between 12:30 AM and 1 AM near Choubaradhara, within the jurisdiction of the Piplarawa police station. A mini truck loaded with onions overturned while traveling from Gandharvpuri towards Choubaradhara. Reports suggest that the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle on a curve, leading to the crash.
At the time of the accident, five laborers were traveling on top of the onion sacks. Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the driver may have dozed off while driving, causing him to lose control of the vehicle suddenly.
Some individuals became trapped beneath the vehicle and scattered goods due to the collision. Upon receiving news of the accident, teams from the Piplarawa police station arrived at the scene. Rescue teams, aided by local villagers, extricated the victims and rushed them to the civil hospital in Sonkatch.
Doctors at Sonkatch Civil Hospital officially declared three laborers dead upon arrival. The deceased were identified as Omprakash Malviya, Akash Bagania, and Vijay Malviya, all residents of Balon village.
The two seriously injured individuals have been identified as the driver and the cleaner of the mini truck. They are currently receiving intensive medical treatment at a private hospital in Sonkatch.
The Piplarawa police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
