
Lucknow, April 23: A tragic road accident in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, has resulted in the deaths of five individuals. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sorrow over the incident and announced financial assistance for the victims’ families.
The accident occurred when a tractor-trailer overturned. Reports indicate that the vehicle lost control and flipped over on the roadside, leading to the fatalities. Several others were injured in the incident.
According to sources, the trailer was carrying women and children who were en route to a mundan ceremony when the vehicle overturned. Following the accident, the injured were promptly admitted to a hospital. CM Yogi has wished for the swift recovery of those hurt.
On the social media platform X, CM Yogi stated that the loss of life in the road accident in Lakhimpur Kheri is extremely tragic. He extended his condolences to the grieving families. He has instructed district administration officials to ensure that the injured receive immediate medical attention. He prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and quick recovery to the injured.
Additionally, CM Yogi announced financial aid, directing that the families of the deceased receive ₹2 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also expressed his sorrow, calling the loss of life in the Lakhimpur Kheri accident deeply distressing. He offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls and the quick recovery of the injured.
