Jalgaon, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : A devastating road accident occurred in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, on October 15, resulting in the tragic deaths of six family members, including three children. The collision happened around 4 PM near Maldabadi in the Jamner taluka.

Initial reports indicate that a truck collided violently with a two-wheeler, leading to the fatalities of all six individuals aboard the motorcycle. They were identified as members of the same family from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Efforts are ongoing to confirm the identities of the deceased. This incident follows a similar tragedy last month in Nanded district, where a head-on collision between a passenger van and a truck claimed at least six lives and left eight others severely injured. That accident occurred around 7 PM near the Sitakhandi Ghat.

The van was traveling from Nanded to Bhorker when it crashed into the truck. The impact was so severe that the van was extensively damaged. Local residents rushed to the scene to assist in rescuing the injured, who were subsequently taken to nearby hospitals for urgent care.

Among the deceased in the recent Jalgaon accident were Syed Almas and Sheikh Firoz from Bilal Nagar in Bhorker, as well as Pandurang Lakshman Waghmare and his wife Lakshmibai from Syed Nagar. Another victim from Potatanda village in Hadgaon taluka, Balwan Pawar, was also confirmed dead, while the identity of one victim remains unknown.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences for the loss of life and announced a compensation of ₹2 lakh to the families of each deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
