Madhinipur, May 18: A young man was found hanging in a village in the Lesliganj police station area of Palamu district, Jharkhand, on Monday. Family members claim he took his own life.
The deceased has been identified as Roopesh Mehta, a resident of Sudna in Madhinipur. Reports indicate that Roopesh had arrived at his in-laws’ home in Darudih about eight days ago to attend a wedding. According to relatives, everything seemed normal during the wedding festivities, and Roopesh was actively participating in the celebrations.
However, he suddenly took a tragic turn and hanged himself in his room. When family members discovered him hanging on Monday morning, chaos erupted in the household. Local villagers quickly informed the police about the incident. Upon receiving the report, the Lesliganj police arrived at the scene with a team.
The police removed the body from the noose and completed the necessary legal procedures before sending it for post-mortem at Medini Rai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in Madhinipur.
