Hazaribagh, August 26: In a shocking incident in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, a man has allegedly killed his six-month-old son during a family dispute. The police acted swiftly, arresting the father and placing him in custody.
According to reports, a domestic argument erupted between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the village of Lupung, located in the Katkamsandi police station area. During this altercation, the accused, Akash Kumar, entered the room. Angered by the ongoing conflict, he picked up his sleeping son, Ansh Kumar, and violently threw him onto the concrete floor near a well behind their home.
The infant suffered severe head injuries, leading to significant bleeding. After the incident, the child’s mother, Nirali Kumari, pleaded with her husband to take their son to the hospital, but he refused to seek medical help.
Desperate, the mother took the child to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital in Hazaribagh herself. After initial treatment, doctors assessed the child’s critical condition and referred him to RIMS Ranchi for advanced care. Tragically, the infant succumbed to his injuries en route.
Following the incident, the grieving mother filed a formal complaint against her husband at the Katkamsandi police station. Officer Anupam Prakash confirmed that police promptly arrested Akash Kumar and placed him in judicial custody. An autopsy has been conducted, and further legal proceedings are underway.
