Tragic Collision in Madhya Pradesh Claims One Life, Two Injured

Shahdol, April 26: A tragic road accident in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh resulted in the death of one person and left two others injured. The incident occurred when a speeding car collided head-on with a motorcycle on the main road in the Khairha police jurisdiction.

The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Ramrasile Singh, a resident of Dhamni Kala village. According to police reports, Singh was riding his motorcycle with two companions to attend a wedding ceremony when the accident took place. A car, traveling at high speed, struck their motorcycle, resulting in a devastating impact that caused Singh to die at the scene. His companions sustained serious injuries.

Panic ensued immediately after the accident, with local residents rushing to the site to assist the injured. They promptly informed the police, who arrived quickly to manage the situation. The injured were transported to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Following a preliminary investigation, police have seized the damaged motorcycle and car. A case has been registered against the car driver for reckless driving and speeding, and he has been taken into custody. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and will be handed over to the family for final rites. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

In a separate incident, a man was found unconscious under a bridge on the Betul-Athner road. Initial investigations suggest that he may have been struck by an unidentified vehicle. No identification documents were found with him, making it difficult to ascertain his identity. He has been admitted to Betul District Hospital with injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
