Tragic Accident on Mukundpur Flyover Claims Two Young Lives

New Delhi, April 27: A tragic road accident occurred on the Mukundpur Flyover in northwestern Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area on Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of two young men.

According to reports, the victims were riding a motorcycle at high speed when they suddenly lost control and crashed into the flyover’s wall. The impact was so severe that one young man died at the scene, while the other was thrown off the bike and fell into a nearby drain.

Panic ensued in the area following the incident. Police and ambulance teams arrived promptly. A rescue operation was initiated to locate the young man who fell into the drain, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. Both bodies were recovered and sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. The police have informed the families of the deceased about the incident.

Preliminary investigations by police suggest that speeding and loss of balance on the motorcycle were the primary causes of the accident. However, authorities stated that a detailed investigation is underway, and evidence is being collected while considering all aspects of the case. A minor mistake has robbed two families of their happiness.

Police officials indicated that the incident took place in the morning. They are reviewing CCTV footage from near the Mukundpur Flyover to gather accurate details about the accident. A dedicated police team has been formed to expedite the report.

Meanwhile, a robbery incident has also been reported in the Vikaspuri area of West Delhi. Two unidentified assailants threatened a shopkeeper at gunpoint and stole cash. The attackers reportedly wore helmets to conceal their identities. According to the victim, the robbers fled with all the cash from the shop. Police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the report and have begun an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the suspects.
