Traffic Advisory for T20 World Cup Match in New Delhi on March 1

New Delhi, March 1: The T20 World Cup 2026 will feature a match between South Africa and Zimbabwe today. This exciting clash is set to take place at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi. The match is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. To manage the influx of spectators, special traffic arrangements will be in effect from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

In light of security and public convenience, the police administration has announced traffic diversions and restrictions around the stadium and its vicinity.

Traffic diversions will be implemented as necessary on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg. Heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Daryaganj and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. Spectators are advised to avoid these routes during the specified hours.

Additionally, travelers using JLN Marg (from Rajghat to Kamla Market Roundabout), Asaf Ali Road (from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate), and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Agarwal Chowk) should plan their journeys in advance, considering potential heavy traffic at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and ITO Chowk.

South Africa has already secured a spot in the semifinals, having won both of their Super-8 matches. They defeated India by 76 runs in their first match and then triumphed over the West Indies by 9 wickets in the second.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe has been eliminated from the semifinals race. The team aims to conclude the tournament on a high note, seeking their first-ever victory against South Africa in T20 format.
