New Delhi, July 29: Pappu Yadav, the independent Member of Parliament from Purnia, has received death threats directed at him and his family through his official website. In response, Yadav has urged senior officials of the Delhi Police to file an FIR and apprehend the culprits.
According to a letter sent by Yadav’s office to the DCP of New Delhi, two separate complaints were lodged on the complaint portal of ‘pappuyadav.org’ on July 28. The threats include explicit intentions to shoot the MP and bomb his entire family.
The letter states that the sender identified himself as Mukesh Mishra. The complaint includes a mobile number, email ID, and Aadhaar number, with an address listed in Madhubani, Bihar.
Given the seriousness and sensitivity of the situation, Yadav’s office has addressed the matter directly to the DCP to ensure prompt investigation and action. The letter requests that an FIR be filed immediately based on the provided details, and that the suspect be identified and arrested. Additionally, the office has asked to be kept informed about the progress of the investigation.
In light of these threats, the letter also emphasizes the need for necessary preventive and protective measures for Yadav and his family. It expresses deep concern over such public threats against a public representative and raises serious questions about security.
