Ranchi, August 21: A bomb threat against the Jharkhand Assembly has prompted heightened security measures. Following the receipt of a threatening email by an assembly official, security agencies launched an extensive search operation within the assembly premises on Friday.
The alert was raised immediately, leading to the deployment of the Jharkhand Jaguar Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad. The team conducted thorough inspections of various sections of the assembly complex, including buildings, surrounding areas, and sensitive locations. Fortunately, no suspicious or objectionable materials were found during the search.
After the operation, security officials reviewed the assembly’s security protocols. They assessed entry and exit arrangements along with other safety standards. Security agencies have been instructed to maintain heightened vigilance in the area.
