Tejashwi Yadav Demands Action Against Bihar Chief Minister Under POCSO Act

Tejashwi Yadav calls for POCSO Act enforcement against Bihars Chief Minister, emphasizing equal application of law for all.

Patna, September 25 (Daily Kiran) : Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Executive President, Tejashwi Yadav, has made serious allegations against Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary regarding violations of the POCSO Act. He urged the Bihar police to take action against the Chief Minister under this law. Yadav emphasized that the law should apply equally to everyone, regardless of their status—be it a common citizen, a leader, an official, or even the Chief Minister and Prime Minister.

Recently, a significant case related to the POCSO Act has emerged, prompting Yadav to call for immediate police action against Chaudhary. He pointed out that if police have acted against several individuals in Jamui and other areas under the POCSO Act, there should not be different standards applied in the Chief Minister’s case.

Should the Bihar police fail to act, Yadav warned that the RJD would take the matter to court, making the police a party to the case. He reiterated that the law must be enforced uniformly and that no one in a position of power should receive special treatment.

Yadav accused the Chief Minister of lacking knowledge about the provisions of the POCSO law. He stated that the same legal actions taken against others should also be applied to Chaudhary. He called on the police to implement the law impartially.

Additionally, Yadav raised concerns regarding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) process of the voter list in Bihar, questioning the Election Commission. He claimed that two election commissioners had raised objections over alleged irregularities in the SIR process.

He accused the Election Commission of operating under the influence of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeling it a political allegation. Yadav demanded the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The RJD has organized protests across several districts in Bihar on this issue, stating that this movement is just the beginning. He warned that if no action is taken against Gyanesh Kumar, the party would continue to fight this battle.

Yadav has previously raised concerns about alleged electoral fraud in Bihar and West Bengal. He asserted that this struggle has only just begun and that the RJD will persist in highlighting these issues until their demands are addressed.

Furthermore, Yadav accused Chief Minister Chaudhary of sharing images and information about the POCSO case victim and her family on social media. He questioned how such sensitive information could be made public.

He raised the issue of who is pressuring the Bihar police not to act when both the Chief Minister and Prime Minister claim that the law applies equally to all. Yadav also mentioned that there are already serious allegations against the Chief Minister, casting doubt on the police’s role in this matter. The responses from the involved parties and the outcomes of any official investigations will be crucial in this context.
