Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Bihar Government Over Muzaffarpur Pipeline Explosion

Tejashwi Yadav questions Bihars government response to a deadly pipeline explosion in Muzaffarpur, highlighting emergency service failures.

Muzaffarpur, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, expressed his condolences on Tuesday following the tragic death of an individual in a PNG pipeline explosion in Gobarsahi, Muzaffarpur. He criticized the state government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their handling of the situation.

In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav extended his sympathies to the victim’s family, saying, “May God provide strength to the affected families during this difficult time.”

He raised serious questions about a BJP gathering that allegedly obstructed fire services responding to the explosion. Yadav claimed that a public meeting, attended by party workers, leaders, and Tourism Minister Kedar Gupta, was occurring on the road at the time of the incident.

According to local residents, those at the gathering were aware of the unfortunate explosion as it unfolded. Despite this, there was no urgency to clear the path for the fire truck, which was delayed in reaching the scene.

Yadav described this negligence as inexcusable, asserting that fire services should have been given immediate access. He accused BJP leaders and workers of lacking sensitivity in this critical situation and questioned the role of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

He further alleged that the Chief Minister was unaware of the incident, which is why he had not expressed any condolences. Yadav emphasized that politics should serve the citizens, not the other way around, urging a focus on public safety and emergency services during political events.

The explosion occurred on Monday in the Gobarsahi area of Muzaffarpur’s Sadar police district, resulting in one fatality and several injuries when the PNG pipeline was damaged during drainage construction.
