Tejashwi Yadav Condemns Murder of Bihar Native in Delhi, Blames BJP Government

Patna, April 28: Tejashwi Yadav, the national executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has criticized the BJP government following the murder of Pandav Kumar, a resident of Khagaria, Bihar, in Delhi. He stated that Kumar was shot dead simply for being a ‘Bihari.’

In a tragic twist, Kumar’s friend, Krishna, is now fighting for his life. Yadav, who serves as the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, issued a press statement on Tuesday, highlighting that the area in Delhi where the shooting occurred is governed by BJP officials, including municipal councilors, legislators, and MPs.

He further remarked, “Not only that, but the Chief Minister is also from the BJP, as are the Bihar Chief Minister and several ‘inactive loudmouth’ central ministers from Bihar. The Lieutenant Governor, the Home Minister, and the Prime Minister are all BJP members. The BJP has become a curse for Biharis.”

Yadav questioned whether any BJP leaders had the courage to bring the police officer responsible for the murder to justice. He emphasized that the poor policies of Nitish Kumar and the BJP over the past 21 years have forced many Biharis to migrate to other states, where they are viewed with suspicion, hatred, and inferiority by the local BJP government and administration.

He pointed out that Biharis often face atrocities, and migrant workers are frequently victims of harassment. Yadav criticized the Delhi police, which falls under the Ministry of Home Affairs, for treating Biharis as criminals merely for their identity and for the heinous act of shooting Kumar. He called for an investigation into the incident and demanded action against those responsible for the harassment of Biharis, along with appropriate compensation for the victim’s family. He stated that this incident is an affront to the dignity of Bihar and its people, and justice is urgently needed.
