Technical Glitch Delays Pankaja Mundes Helicopter Journey

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, February 3: Maharashtra’s Environment Minister and BJP leader Pankaja Munde faced a technical issue with her helicopter. The malfunction was detected before takeoff, preventing a potential disaster. Munde was scheduled to fly to Latur for district council election campaigning.

Reports indicate that the helicopter was set to depart from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Latur. However, the pilot noticed the issue before the flight, forcing Munde to cancel her planned journey.

This unexpected glitch has also altered the timing of her events in Latur. Details about the specific nature of the helicopter’s malfunction are currently unavailable.

Pankaja Munde has been actively campaigning for the district council elections. On Monday, she sought votes for BJP candidates in Bajajnagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. She engaged with voters from District Council Groups 50 and 51, as well as Group 49 from Daulatabad during a public meeting.

It is noteworthy that just a week prior, on January 28, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar‘s aircraft crashed, resulting in his tragic death along with four others. Pawar was traveling to Baramati for election campaigning when the incident occurred during landing. His last rites were held on January 29 at Vidya Pratishthan Ground in Baramati, drawing a large crowd for the farewell.

Following Ajit Pawar‘s passing, his wife, Sunetra Pawar, has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Minister, taking on responsibilities for excise, sports, and minority development departments.
