This marks the fourth time and the second consecutive occasion that India has reached the finals. However, the poor form of Abhishek Sharma, Varun Chakravarthy, and Arshdeep Singh has become a significant concern for the team.
In the semifinal against England, Varun conceded 64 runs in his 4-over spell, managing to take only one wicket. He had also been expensive in the must-win match against the West Indies, giving away 40 runs in 4 overs while claiming just one wicket.

Similarly, in the crucial match against the West Indies, the left-arm fast bowler gave away 43 runs without claiming any wickets. With India relying on five main bowlers in the T20 World Cup 2026, Arshdeep’s poor form is complicating the team’s strategy.
