Mumbai, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : Mumbai witnessed a heated exchange between actress Swara Bhasker and politician Shehzad Poonawalla during the latest episode of “Rise and Fall 2.” The conflict, which has simmered on social media, spilled over onto the show, much to the audience’s intrigue.
Host Virender Sehwag directly questioned Poonawalla about his reluctance to engage with Swara, despite his vocal criticisms of her online. Sehwag humorously pointed out that while Poonawalla had made numerous comments about Swara on social media, he was now avoiding her in person.
“Shehzad, you’ve had plenty to say about Swara online,” Sehwag remarked. “Now that she’s here, why aren’t you talking to her? Has your voice gone quiet?”
In response, Poonawalla asserted, “No one has been able to silence me, but I choose not to engage with negativity. If you ask for milk, I’ll give you kheer; if you point fingers, I’ll respond with words.”
When Poonawalla admitted to ignoring Swara, she countered that true ignoring means giving no attention. “Since the show was announced, you’ve tweeted 36 times, made 3-4 videos, and sent 50,000 messages. This isn’t ignoring; it’s a strategy to gather votes for yourself, not me,” Swara stated, emphasizing her point.
Poonawalla shot back, “We will always speak against those who speak against the country, regardless of whether it affects us.” The exchange escalated, with Swara retorting, “This isn’t an election; it’s a game. Your declining political career won’t shine from here.”
Poonawalla, unfazed, replied, “Don’t worry about my career; focus on getting your husband elected.” Their fiery debate has since gone viral on social media, drawing significant attention.
