Greater Noida, May 20: The suspicious death of newlywed Deepika Nagar in Jalpura village, located in the Ecotech-3 police jurisdiction of Greater Noida, has caused a stir. Allegations have emerged against her in-laws for committing murder over dowry. A neighbor claims that Deepika’s father and relatives were present in the house just an hour before the incident.
Gulzar Chaudhary, a resident nearby, recounted that he heard a commotion and rushed outside. He saw Deepika lying on the ground. A young man named Hrithik ran to him, asking for help to take her to the hospital. Gulzar assisted him in getting her into a vehicle, and soon Manoj and Hrithik arrived to transport her to the hospital.
Gulzar stated that he and others reached the hospital shortly after. When doctors inquired about the cause of her injuries, Manoj claimed that Deepika had jumped from the roof. This prompted police involvement. As treatment began, Deepika’s family also arrived, but she was later pronounced dead by the doctors. The police then initiated further investigations.
Gulzar mentioned that the incident occurred around 12:30 PM. He had seen Deepika’s father at their home shortly before this. During that time, Manoj and some of his relatives were also present.
According to Gulzar, Manoj was building a school for Deepika, highlighting that she was educated while the men in her life were less so. The reason for the sudden turn of events remains unclear to the neighbors.
He noted that for the past two years, they had never seen Deepika without her veil, nor had they witnessed any arguments. Hrithik, described as a calm individual, had never been seen fighting.
Meanwhile, Deepika’s mother, Saroj Nagar, revealed that they received news around 1 AM that their daughter had fallen from the roof. However, they were not informed about the circumstances leading to her fall. When they inquired about how she fell, they received no clear answers. Saroj alleged that Deepika had been subjected to harassment by her in-laws for the past eight months.
