Cuttack, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Debashis Mohanty have been appointed as brand ambassadors for the Odisha T20 League 2026 CM Trophy. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 20 to September 29 at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Their involvement is expected to elevate the tournament’s significance.
This event aims to provide a platform for young and emerging cricketers from Odisha to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. Six teams will compete in the tournament: the Bhubaneswar Tigers, Puri Titans, Keonjhar Miners, Rourkela Superstars, Sambalpur Warriors, and Cuttack Panthers.
The tournament will kick off on September 20, with the opening match featuring the Sambalpur Warriors against the Cuttack Panthers. It will include both league-stage and knockout matches. The team at the top of the points table will secure a direct spot in the final, which will also be held at the Barabati Stadium, a venue known for hosting international matches.
The second and third-placed teams will face off in a qualifier, with the winner advancing to the final. Additionally, an exhibition match featuring women players is scheduled for September 28, adding another layer of excitement for cricket fans. The grand final of the Odisha T20 League 2026 CM Trophy will take place on September 29, where the two best teams will compete for the title.
Commenting on their roles, Suresh Raina expressed enthusiasm, stating, “With six teams competing, we can expect ten days of thrilling cricket.
