New Delhi, May 11: BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has targeted the opposition for criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to reduce gold purchases and limit the use of cooking oil. He advised the opposition to refrain from politicizing this issue.

He noted that fuel prices have surged by 20 to 40 percent in the United States and Europe, while in African countries, the increase has reached 60 percent. In California, petrol prices have soared to 140 rupees per liter in Indian currency.
Trivedi emphasized that PM Modi’s call for vigilance and caution is essential for the future of the nation’s citizens. He described the opposition’s accusations as unfortunate and urged them to abandon their divisive politics during these trying times.
He explained that the Prime Minister’s advice is a government responsibility, similar to how authorities advise precautions during threats like tsunamis or storms. This does not imply an attempt to restrict individual freedoms. It is crucial for the safety and smooth functioning of every village, city, district, and region.
Trivedi further stated that the opposition has begun to oppose not just the government and PM Modi, but the nation itself. He questioned whether there is any region in the world that is not grappling with economic, strategic, and energy crises. He asked if the opposition supports ensuring India’s future economic and energy security.
