
Ganderbal, April 5: The police administration in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir has welcomed new leadership. Sudhanshu Dhama (IPS) has officially taken over as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ganderbal. The ceremony took place at the district police headquarters in Ganderbal.
During the handover process, outgoing SSP Khaleel Ahmed Poswal (JKPS) entrusted the responsibilities to the new SSP. Senior officials from the district police warmly welcomed the new SSP, who was also given a traditional ‘Guard of Honor’ during the event.
Immediately after assuming office, SSP Sudhanshu Dhama addressed the officers. He urged all personnel to work with enthusiasm, dedication, and teamwork to effectively resolve public issues. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among all officers.
The new SSP instructed maintaining transparency within the police system, ensuring a corruption-free environment, and adopting goal-oriented strategies to combat drug-related problems in society. He made it clear that winning public trust and strengthening law and order would be top priorities.
With Sudhanshu Dhama’s appointment as the new SSP, there are high hopes for more effective and accountable policing in the district.
Sudhanshu Dhama is a 2016 batch IPS officer (AGMUT cadre) and has previously served in significant roles with the Delhi Police and in Arunachal Pradesh.
