Lucknow, May 13: The sudden passing of Prateek Yadav, the stepbrother of Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, has sent shockwaves through Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape. The cause of his death remains unclear. However, Devesh Chandra Pandey, the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of Lucknow Civil Hospital, reported that Prateek’s health deteriorated rapidly. He had already passed away before reaching the hospital.
CMS Pandey stated, “Prateek Yadav was brought to the civil hospital at 5:55 AM, but he was declared dead upon arrival. The police were notified, and they conducted an inquest before sending his body for post-mortem.”
According to the CMS, Prateek’s condition worsened suddenly. His driver arrived around 5:30 AM, and a doctor from the hospital accompanied them. Due to the critical nature of his condition, he was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he arrived at approximately 5:55 AM, but he had already succumbed to his condition.
CMS Devesh Chandra Pandey added, “By the time I reached the hospital, Prateek Yadav’s body had already been sent for post-mortem. My colleagues informed me that there were no vital signs left. His pulse was absent.”
This statement from the CMS comes amid rising questions surrounding Prateek Yadav’s death. Leaders from the Samajwadi Party are calling for an investigation into the circumstances of his passing.
SP MLA Ravidas Mehrotra claimed that there were signs of injury on Prateek’s body. He stated, “I have also learned that there were marks of injury on Prateek Yadav’s body. I can only say that his death occurred under suspicious circumstances. Therefore, an investigation is necessary to determine the cause of death.”
