State mourning in Gujarat today, Prime Minister will go to Morbi

Ahmedabad : There is a state mourning in Gujarat today, which is engulfed in grief due to the Morbi Jhula bridge accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Morbi this afternoon.

fsdfsdfdfsHe will meet the families of the victims. The Prime Minister held a review meeting on the Morbi Bridge accident at Gandhinagar Raj Bhavan late on Monday. He directed Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi and top officials to extend full help to the people. In the same meeting, it was decided to observe state mourning in the state on 02nd November.

Prime Minister Modi will visit Morbi victims’ families at 1 pm today. Earlier on Monday, he cancelled his road show. During his Gujarat visit, the Prime Minister got emotional while laying the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore at Tharad in Banaskantha.

He had said that I was very upset after the Morbi accident. The Prime Minister expressed grief in the meeting over the Morbi accident and said that there should be no laxity in the rescue and relief efforts. The central government will give all possible help. It is noteworthy that on Sunday evening, there was an outcry after a suspension bridge on the Machhu river collapsed in the Morbi district of Gujarat. 9 people were also arrested in this regard on Monday.
