Initiative Aims to Enhance Sports Rule Proficiency Among Physical Education Teachers

Udaipur, 29 July 2025 — In a bid to strengthen the conduct and fairness of upcoming sports competitions, a State-Level Rifle Shooting Referee Clinic is being held at L. Soldier Senior Secondary School, Medta Road, Dabok, Udaipur. The clinic is organised as per the directives of the Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner, ahead of the State Rifle Shooting Competition scheduled in Udaipur this September.

Focus on Rule Awareness and Professionalism

Clinic Convener Ranveer Singh Ranawat informed that the aim of this initiative is to update referees with the latest and revised rules of rifle shooting to ensure smooth, transparent, and rule-based conduct of the upcoming state-level event. The clinic is part of a broader effort to enhance transparency, quality, and fairness in school-level sports, ultimately offering students a more competitive and unbiased sports environment.

Participants will be assessed through written and practical exams, and awarded grades based on performance.

Training Session and Inauguration

The inaugural session was held in the presence of Deputy District Education Officer (Physical Education) Lakshman Lal Salvi, local school director Surendra Malvi, district president Govardhan Singh Jhala, and Principal S.S. Bhaskar, among others.

Wide Participation from Across Rajasthan

Ranawat shared that more than 40 selected physical education teachers from various districts of Rajasthan are participating in the clinic. The group includes both senior and junior trainers, and comprises male and female educators.

Expertise is being provided by Eklavya Bishnoi, Rajesh Dewal, and Narendra Chaudhary, who are contributing as resource persons for the training sessions.
