Bengaluru, May 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 45th anniversary celebration of the Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru on Sunday. The event was marked by a palpable enthusiasm among attendees. Santosh Kedia, a female devotee, remarked that when a saint and a prime minister come together, it signifies progress for the nation.
Reflecting on Modi’s speech, Kedia told a news agency, “The celebration of 45 years of Art of Living deeply touched my heart. I remember during the 25th anniversary, Abdul Kalam said that when a scientist and a saint meet, the country moves towards development. Today, it seems that when a saint and a prime minister unite, the nation is destined to advance.”
Another local attendee expressed joy, stating, “Today, I saw PM Modi live for the first time. I am very happy. His words for the youth were truly inspiring.”
Supriya, a resident of the ashram, described the occasion as a significant experience. “As Gurudev mentioned, we have many ongoing projects, including a free school where I volunteer. This event has been very inspiring for all of us. It is a matter of pride that PM Modi visited the ashram.”
Santosh highlighted the wave of spirituality and national devotion that surged at the Art of Living ashram. “Gurudev’s words were exhilarating. PM Modi spoke about natural farming and Clean India initiatives. We are moving forward in that direction.”
Narendra Lamba noted that the atmosphere was filled with excitement due to the 45th anniversary of Art of Living and PM Modi’s presence. He explained that the organization aims to harness the power of song, knowledge, and meditation. The inauguration of a meditation temple, capable of accommodating around 20,000 people, is a testament to this mission.
The Art of Living International Center, established by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is a prominent spiritual and meditation hub located on 250 acres. It offers basic and advanced courses, residential programs, and a peaceful environment aimed at promoting a stress-free life through yoga, meditation, and Sudarshan Kriya.
